Hello. Is it possible to make Intel Core 2 E8400 run with ASUS P5LD2-VM?

What's revision of your motherboard?
Have you any Core 2 Duo with FSB=800 or 1066 MHz?

Revision 1.04G. No, I don't have other CPU, but I can ask my friends, maybe I can find one, but no guarantee.

You motherboard has old VRM10.
So read about special hardware mod - https://www.google.com/search?q=VRM10+Conroe
And your E8400 has FSN=1333 MHz. It can't be run with 945G chipset.
But you need to find Core 2 Duo E6x00 or E4x00 to test.

Thank you. I ordered another CPU, that will be supported by this motherboard and refunded E8400. It will be much easier.
