Acer Aspire 5630 Mod to overclock
#1
Hi everyone,

I just bought an Acer Aspire M5630 with an Intel Q6600 processeur. I wanted to know is there was any way to unlock the bios so I can change the voltages, FSB and many other features.

The Motherboard is an Acer EG31M v.1
It uses an AMI Bios and my current bios for it is the R01-A4 (Which is the last version.)

HERE'S THE LINK TO THE BIOS http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/des...m5630.html
Thank you very much,

Matt

I own this system and can confirm that CPU FSB Changing is availble WITHOUT modding.

Go to frequency/voltage control , set CPU Overclocking Function to Enabled and then the options to change FSB are available on that screen , use the + and - keys to move the FSB up and down.

There arent voltages and nothing can be unlocked further in this bios. Also , upgrade to the latest R01-C2 release from Acer Big Grin
