Hi guys

I`m trying to find out what cpu`s that fits my 5737Z with original Acer bios 1.10
Not shure about what is the best ram either Blush

Anyone tried different combinations?

Your laptop is based on nForce 730i chipset.
All dual(!) cores CPUs for Socket P are supported.
T9400, T9550, T9600, T9800, T9900, X9100 are recommended for upgrade.
Official maximum of memory - 4 Gb, unofficial - 8 Gb.

Thanks (again) Deathbringer, you`re the best Cool

I am concerned about the heat from the X9100 as it is 44w. Do you think theres gonna be a problem with this?
Now if I get 8gb of ram (2x4gb), what specs should that ram be? (I know, I know - I`m just lost in the jungle) Huh
Do I need to mod the BIOS?

TDP=44W - for overclocked state only.
DDR3 1066 Mhz.
Mods aren't needed.

Requesting unlocking mods is offtopic here.
Adding microcode doesn't add support for quad cores CPU.
But you can try the motherboard's mod for quad cores CPU supporting (without guarantee for success):
