Acorp 6A815EPD + Full RAID Bios Hack (older dual-370 pIII mobo)
#1
Hi.
I'm looking for the old hacked bios with the full-function Promise RAID (vs. Lite) for the
Acorp 6A815EPD (they made an EP/EPD/EPD1)

There's no current website for Acorp (as they got bought out/sold/DOA/AFK?)...

Here's someone who modded a similar mobo with the same RAID chipset (what the hacked Acorp 6A815EPD bios has)...
Similar bios
Using the full-RAID version FROM the hacked Acorp model as their reference.
Perhaps with their bios hack and the stock bios (v1.2?)
(Acorp 6A815EPD Bios page...)
...we can splice them back together?

I don't mind trying it myself... Just totally new at it, and hoping someone still has it on an old CD or server somewhere...

Mucho Thanks in Advance!!
Cool

Acorp is still alive http://www.acorp.ru/
but they do not produce mobos any more.
the link for the stock bios you provided is dead, but i've found the original bios here: http://www.nix.ru/download_drivers_bios_...r_id=13075
direct links to the file does not work, sorry. I've also attached the stock bios to my post.

Well ive looked at the stock bios , extracted the RAID rom and correctly identified it as Promise FastTrak100 "Lite" BIOS Version 1.31 Build 24

Checked Promises website and found a new bios (v2.00.0.24) However , there is a side affect where upgrading to this bios requires a windows reinstall!. The new 2.00.0.24 bios offer LBA support for drives over 137gb.

What was really interesting though was when i downloaded the "Full RAID" Versions and extracted it. Seems like the Full RAID is already using v2.00.0.24.

So it looks like the new bios probably solves the problems , but you have to reinstall to get it working , according to promises website.

Heres the original Acorp 1.2 Bios with the latest v2.00.0.24 RAID Controller Mod Big Grin

Flash at your own risk!
