Amilo li1718 unlock 2gb ram limit

And make new TXT CPU-Z report.

I still did not mannage to get my hands on 2GB module again.

Did I mention that it does not boot with only one 1GB module too?

Well, it does not. It boots with 2x500Mb or 500Mb+1Gb or 500Mb+2GB combination only.
In all the cases when it does boot it shows 1GB of ram. And that's the weirdest thing.

It did not boot with 2GB+2GB too last time,
nor did it boot with 1x2GB only,
with 1x1gb no go,
with 2x1gb same shi*.
This i believe is to the fact that all my rams are 800MHz rated, not 677, but I cannot be sure. (all but 500MB)

That's why I'd like to have RAM timings control in BIOS. So I can clock the RAM manually.

You 512 MB DIMM has 533 Mhz maximum, not 667 Mhz.

You didn't give me CPU-Z TXT report and a screenshot of Device Manager in this case.

It isn't strange. RC410 chipset can't use different chip capacity on memory channel. So it choose minimal - 512 Mbits.
RC410 chipset has official maximum of memory - 2 GB. But in most cases it can use about 3 GB: one 2G DIMM with 16 chips and one 1G DIMM with 8 chips.
Try to find PC2‑5300 (or PC2‑4200) SODIMM - 1 GB with 8 chips
P.S. Can you make CPU-Z TXT report and a screenshot of Device Manager with one 512 SODIMM?

I know this is old post. but I'm trying to bring old laptop back to life. i have repla ed cpu wirh t7200. installed ssd hdd. im running windows 7 64 bit. i wanted to increase ram. 2x 1gb works ok. 1x2gb + 1x1gb -this is only recognised as 2gb. single 2gb works fine and recognised as 2gb. if i install 1x2gb and 1x1gb bios and windows see 2gb but cpu z see 3gb. is there any way to modify this buos to see 3gb or maybe 4gb?
