Aorus 15P XC bios unlock
#1
Hello, I am looking for some information regarding unlocking the bios on my laptop

I managed to disable the secure boot,

but not sure where to go from here and would appreciate some assistance, the info I was able to find online was not enough for me to be confident in doing it myself.

Its the latest bios version available for this model FB07 from 2021/03/16 available here https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/B...1a9195c6bc

Thank you in advance.

Hi~
Please visit this article and read it. After you know how to access to Grub successfully ,then make a bios dump then attach the file ,i'll edit it for you to unlock hidden options.

Hello, thank you very much for your assistance.
I could boot grub from USB stick, and i used FPTW to dump my bios.

I hoped it dumped fine, not sure if that warning is bad

I followed the instructions carefully, went to grub, typed setup_var PchSetup 0x17 0x0, got confirmation that it changed from 0x1 to 0x0. Went back to windows, ran flash.bat as admin, and got an error, I am on windows 11, if that matters. but i disabled TPM and secure boot, not sure what else to do. Thank you

1. This way is no any problem, as on another the same platform(Intel 10th gen) gigabyte laptop ,user can re-flash the mod and work fine ,see below link.
https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-A...ht=OLED+XC

I can only tell you repeat step1 then test flash again.

2. Disable Secure Boot is in order to access Uefi environment(GRUB shell). But i don't know if it's related with tpm or win11.

Actually i made an error after using grub, i typed exit instead of reboot, now it worked after a full reboot.
