Aspire 5935g doesn't boot after setting discreet graphics
#1
This forum is my last hope for fixing this,

here's the problem:

After owning this laptop (Aspire 5935g with hybrid intel + nvidia gt 130m) for 6 years
and recently installed win 8.1 x64 i'm fed up with the driver issue that comes with win 8.
Windows 8 apparently doesn't support the hybrid drivers so no matter what i've done i'm not able to
install a properly working driver for this system. That's not only annoying in regards of performance but also
the fans are spinning like crazy because there's no driver to control them.

I decided to find a solution to this and disable the integrated intel gpu from the bios (using the latest unlocked 2.09 bios
provided from this forum). To do this one must select discreet graphics from the advanced bio settings.
This way i could theoretically update the nvidia drivers but the problem is that after setting the gpu setting to discreet
the computer hangs in a black screen after boot.
Tried everything even formating after messing with ide and ahci sata modes but i always get this black screen after the windows loading logo.
It only happens with discreet mode and it doesnt happen with either integrated or hybrid modes.

Here some exact specs:

I'm desperately looking for help on this matter from this community

Best regards

ok the problem is one driver......

try this trick....

install windows.... (set graphic card to integrated)

when it finished reboot in safe mode...

go to control panel -> device manager

unistall Bridge Intel® (and delete it inf)

uninstall intel drivers check remove software

unistall LPC interface controller and all PCI device listed (for all if windows ask to reboot say no)

force shutdown (hold powerbutton)

reboot in debug mode (press F8 at boot)

if work clean regedit (ccleaner or similar)

and install your nvidia driver....
