Asus A54C CPU upgrade from i3 2330m
#1
Hello all,

I have an Asus A54C and I will post the CPU-Z picture on this thread.  I would like to upgrade the i3 to an i5 or i7 if it is possible.  I am looking for help as I cannot find it on searching online.  I recently browsed your forum and found an answer to my OLD Compaq Presario V5000 and what I needed to do so I figured this place would be a good starting point.

Thanks ahead.

Hi sorry, quick question,

Does the (x) mean I can substitute any number in there?

such as any of these?

i5-2450M
i5-2410M
i5-2430M

Any of those have a good chance of working, higher percentage of success?

I know the i5 upgrade was successful.  Is there any way to upgrade it to a quad core i7? or is it not compatible?

Quad core CPU will overload power subsystem of laptop's motherboard.
