Hey, thanks for the prompt reply.

I updated my friends BIOS with the above file and booted into Windows 7.

- Opened Command Prompt under Administrator
- Entered the following command: slmgr.vbs -ipk 22TKD-F8XX6-YG69F-9M66D-PMJBM
- Waited for a confirmation popup with success.
- Entered the next command: slmgr.vbs -ilc C:\HP.XRM-MS
- Waited for confirmation popup with success.
- ran the following command: slmgr.vbs -dlv
- Confirmation under License Status with (29)days remaining...

Done a complete shutdown several times to no avail.

Back ground: I had tried the reserve partition mod which didn't work and left me at a blank screen with a blinking curser. I then done a repair with bootsect /nt60 c: to get win7 going again and uninstalled the mod and done the above method.

Any ideas? Should I do a complete reload again and try again?

those loaders tend to be problematic at times, so yeah i'd suggest fresh install and remove any partitions the loader may have created.

Ok, I have done a complete reload and followed the process without issues but it still says 30 days to activate...

Should I try another SLIC Bois besides HP? Any ideas would be great.

I'm using the free edition (Home) of Everest and I don't see the ACPI.

Here is what it looks like..

what about RW-everything? it should look something like this.. red highlight means slic 2.1. if you don't see SLIC tab on your ACPI tables then the flash might not have gone through or the modded BIOS didn't work, in which case we try again

I have nothing in RW-Everything ACPI Tab index saying SLIC on its tab.

Can you remake the Bios file again, as I have already tried re-flashing/re-downloading the file...

I have just been reading this forum here and they say that SLIC has been changed to OEMS on the tab so that there is no posibility of 2 SLICS ?

So would this mean the above Bios mod file will need to be modified or am I on the the wrong track?
