Asus P7H5510LT on P6-P7H55E barebone
#1
Hi everybody,

I'm very new to this forum and glad to see a forum like this exist !

I just buy an Asus P6-P7H55E barebone and GSKILL Ripjaws memory with CAS 7 timing. By default my AMI Bios use JEDEC memory timing (CAS 9) and not XMP timing (CAS7). To my surprise, there's no way to set XMP profiles in this bios ! Is there a way to unlock memory settings ? With an hidden menu ? or a bios mod ? Smile

Thanks for you help !

Ivan

PS : Attachments upload doesn't work now, but i can send you bios by mail or you can find it here (in download section) : http://uk.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=goc32KeuYcBUL8n3

So you need the XMP profiles? This can be done. You don't have any overclocking options like AI Tuner, do you?

Yes I need the XMP profiles or manual settings to set correct timings. But there's no AI Tuner options like my others ASUS mainboard, I can't set memory timing, bus frequency, voltage,... just simple settings. I've checked the Bios content via AMIBCP and there's no hidden menu on it.

Thanks for you help.

Here you are - the AI Tuner enabled BIOS. You can select XMP there. It's in the CPU configuration menu.

Whouhaooo so fast. I'll try it as soon as possible and make a feedback here.
Thanks !!!!

Cause it's called unlocking, not adding a feature. It's not so long to unlock things that are there already.

I just flash it. Everything seems allright, I can see a new option "Ai Overclock Tuner" set to "CPU Upper Temper" but there's no other choice, just this one. When I check my memory timing with CPU-z, it's always CAS 9 and not CAS 7. Is it normal that "Ai Overclock Tuner" doesn't have a multiple choices list to choose XMP profile ? I was waiting for something like the first screenshot here : http://blog.corsair.com/?p=1977 and by the way, I've exactly the same description "[D.O.C.P.] It's designed to...."

Interesting. I'll check it again, I didn't think that they'll hide both the option and the menu.
