Asus Z87-C need NVME boot module in BIOS
#1
Hi!

I want to upgrade my old PC with a PCIe-SSD but stumbled across the missing availability of that for this Chipset.
Can you "upgrade" the original BIOS with NVME-Modules mentioned like this?
https://www.win-raid.com/t871f50-Guide-H...-BIOS.html

original BIOS:
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z87...Desk_BIOS/

may be BIOS with NVME-Support:
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z97...Desk_BIOS/

Thank you guys!

regards

You linked guide on how to do this mod, can you not follow along in the step by step guide, it's well detailed and outlined properly.
I can do for you, just unsure why you didn't follow the guide already since it's a simple mod.

*Edit - here is mod BIOS - https://www.sendspace.com/file/srdnzq
Right click download button, save as or open in new tab (No need to join or give credit card etc, all rubbish popups/ads)

I followed it after posting this.  Blush

At first I did not dare, but I tried it myself.
I compare your and my version.

And seems the same Big Grin

Good! I know sometimes mod BIOS is tough, but that one mod is easy and all the tools are linked there, good instructions and images provided to, so hoped you'd try so you can start to learn how to edit BIOS a little bit Smile
