BIOS unlock request HP DV9812US

Hello all,

I am new to the forum. I appreciate all that you do. I am trying to refresh an older laptop with a new SSD. I plan to dual boot Ubuntu and WIN 8. My current Phoenix BIOS V: F.34. I wish to enable AHCI for my new drive to utilize it's maximum performance. I have searched your forums, and found a few similar requests and confirmed Unlocked BIOS.

I have searched the HP support site, and recognize that the BIOS mod in above thread is for same BIOS version and CPU but a different model computer. I saw some speculation that it will work for my computer "The 30CFF34B.WPH IS FOR THE DV6600 AND THE 30CFF34A.WPH IS FOR DV9X00"- Moderator AHMED HOSSAM

My questions:
1. will this mod work for me?
2. may I have the link for the BIOS Crash recovery tool (older link is invalid)?
3. If this mod will not work for me, could someone mod my BIOS?
