Benq S41 With Dell SLIC 2.1/SLP

Hi I am wondering if anyone can help add an SLIC 2.1 table to the bios for the BENQ Joybook S41. I couldn't unpack the bios so i did the following to dump the bios:

Quote:To extract your bios do the folowing:
Open HWDirect and go to "Memory Dump".
In the Adress box enter FFF00000
In the Size box enter 100000
press Dump.

Right click into window, select all, right click again, copy. Paste as new file into winhex. (Open winhex and press Shift + insert key) Make sure ASCII-hex is selected. Save file and upload, please!

Is this correct or is there another way to dump the bios?

(Edit: Got the extention wrong but it seems to open up correctly in phoenix bios editor)

I just tried flashing the bios this morning and got a message in phlash16.exe of "platform signature not found in interface".

I managed to rip the bios from the installer files from benq, and have the actual .ROM file rather than my custom rip if that helps at all?

Here is the bios .ROM from BENQ

Hi all thanks very much for your work, i just flashed my bios with busykid508's bios, Bloody legend mate thanks very much!

It seems to have the slic2.1 codes in the achi table as well as the certificate for dell!

I will let you know how the win7 activation goes when i install it this evening!
