Bios problem - Intel Atom Z8300 Quad Core 1.44GHz

Hi there. my laptop is not turning on but there is a green power light when i press the power button and i also goes off when i hold power button again. i dont know what happened  but after i updated my drivers i saw some ec firmware flashing text and then many text lines was on the screen. some was saying failed, some were saying passed. then prompt came to reset the pc by pressing any key. after that its dead. only green power indicator light up. name on laptop is smartpc (purple color). specs and model no. mentioned above. i cannot find manufacturer's website. only thing i remember that it was AMI bios. if anyone can help to somehow flash the appropriate bios or firmware for this pc, would be a great help as this pc is all i have. i am using my friend's laptop now to post this. pls somebody hlp.
