CLEVO BIOS Mods
#51
Hmmm!
Thanks anyway.
In case sometime I deside to change the 6990m with a nvidia 580gtx what should I change to the bios?

It should work without any changes except if there is a difference in boards sold with ATI and sold with NVIDIA...ask your reseller.
I think there will be loads of 580m for a bargain once the 675m/680m goes on sale.

I bought it form sager but it's not flashed with sager bios but left with latest clevo bios.

Nope, not yet. These Clevo P series bios don`t unlock anything by just changing USER/ACCESS rights like on other brands.
The only way to change values like TDP or turbo time limits is to write permanentl values.
Since each CPU reacts different in terms of heat/watts we have to do it for each persons setup and can`t make a "ONE FOR ALL BIOS".

This is interesting. In your testing; have you seen/tried anything fan-related?

I am happy with the fans and see no need to play with it. Smile

A leaked trashy old base and endless effort. It would fill a page to tell the whole story...but essentially it took module & registry DIFFs, NVRAM dumps, AmiTools, Phoenix Tool, an anonymous friend who gave some valuable feedback & inspiration and of course GOOGLE. Idea

Haven't released the BIOS to public yet... Wink
Do you have a 3D with XM cpu?
What RAM, do you use (size/speed/XMP or plug & play)
