DFI UT P35-T2R Intel Raid Option Rom Request

Hi, guys, after some intensive search on the google, i finally found this great place today. Hope I can get some help here.

Yesterday, i purchased an OCZ Vertex 2 SSD, however, my motherboard DFI UT P35-T2R is kinda old, and wouldn't boot from the SSD.

Can some one please mod the Intel Raid Option ROM for me please? It currently has the Intel Raid For SATA - v7.x version. I don't know which later version will actually work with the SSD, but I assume the later the better?

not necessarily , the very recent 9.6 RAID Roms may not work on older chipsets. Seeing as your current bios has 7.5.0.1017 i suggest we try v8.0.0.1006 first

thanks for the bios, 1234.
i have just flashed it, however, it did not work properly. i flashed it with /QI, after reboot, it couldnt find the raid controller, only AHCI.
I guess it is the v8.0.0 not compatible with my ICH9R.
I have also tried v8.6, similar problem, and v7.6 wouldnt even boot after flash..
Any other suggestion which version I should try next?

Hello,
I have nearly the same problem with my Shuttle SX38P2 Pro. It has a Intel X38 Express Chipset with Intel ICH9R controller. The Matrix Storage Manager Option ROM BIOS is version 7.6.0.1011.
My new OCZ Vertex LE SSD is not recognized if RAID is set in Award BIOS. If I set it to AHCI the SSD is recognized and I can boot from it but I need the RAID-Mode and I want the new harddrive to be my bootvolume.
Can some one please mod the Raid Option ROM for me?

Or can you give me a link to the the different RAID option rom versions from 7.6.0.1011 up to 9.6? Then I can try on my own which version works with the ICH9R.

Thank you for your fast reply 1234s282 and the link to the different ROM versions.
I integrated the RAID option rom version 8.5.0.1030 with cbrom606 into my bios. The RAID BIOS now says that I now have a ICH10R and that my RAID0 is incompatible. But my SSD is recognized in RAID BIOS and I can boot from it, which was the main goal to reach. In Windows everything works fine.

You can open the option ROMs in a text editor and there're text strings somewhere in it that say the version and also what ICH version they're meant for. Example: Intel® Matrix Storage Manager option ROM v8.5.0.1030 ICH10R/DO wRAID5

Here is the latest BIOS file for the Shuttle SX38P2 PRO, SX38S10S.bin with integrated Intel® Matrix Storage Manager option ROM v8.5.0.1030 for ICH10R.
A few days ago I found another thread here in this forum were an Option ROM v8.7.0.1007 for ICH9R was posted. I integrated it in my new motherboard Asus P5E Deluxe and it works fine. I will upload the Asus Bios in the thread were this speacial option rom was offered.
