As hard as it was and lots of reading this last 2 weeks, I was able to modify version A02 with slic 2.1. Tested this on 3 of the same model Optiplex none where bricked.
And to be clear, before installing the modded ROM, I installed version A02 since some members on another forum indicated SLIC 2.1 was already added, it is true but to factory installed BIOS A02 Rom and not the one on the dell support site.
