Dell Optiplex 960 - 775 to 771 request
#1
BIOS Link: http://rghost.net/56942059

Currently what happens: On start up after post, before windows logo, it says incompatible CPU for computer. Computer works just fine but not all instructions are available (SSE4.1, EM64T and VT-x) is what appears to be missing when compared to the CPU that was in there before).

Can the microcodes in this file be placed in the BIOS?

http://www.delidded.com/lga-771-775-micr...7x-6Fx.bin

(taken from http://www.delidded.com/how-to-update-cp...enix-bios/)

If it's too big to fit in the BIOS there's two other files on there with it broken up by 45nm and 65nm. I just need 45nm, but I don't think a 65nm would hurt for others.

If possible that should take care of everyone who wishes to install one of the xeons in there Optiplex 960.

Thanks!
