Hi MaCXyLo and jaro666,

Great works, thank you very much!

I'm enjoying 3350 Bios mod with your advice, except the engineering menu.
I tried to insert the edited setup, however it doesn't work.
Now I installed the Bios image except the extra engineering menu.

If possible, could you upload your mod bios?

Thank you,
foobaa999

Hey Dudes Wink,
thank you for your feedback!!! :-) XD

here is the latest version (a10.2 aka whiskey)
However, there are several things todo.
- the main block section must be moved.  There is not enough space for more features e.g. ru.efi or HermitShellX64.
- the acpi must be fixed. i have horrible powermanagement issues.

Hope someone of you can help me with this things!!

The features:
- CPU Microcode Update
- Updated LAN ROM
- Graphic Card Update (Intel + ATI)
- GOP for ati graphic card added
- AMIBCP compatibility
- Removed computrace module
- added modules from N5110

Maybe I forgot something xD

I will modify the blog entry as soon as i have time.  Angel

Kind Regards,
MaCXyLo

Flashed accidentally the latest 3350a10-a10.2.bin on a Dell Vostro 3550. Any hints on how to recover from this will be welcome.

Edit #1: Tried the using the following procedure, which didn't worked.

1.  Download the Dell BIOS update .exe file to a USB flash drive.
2.  Run the .exe file with /writehdrfile parameter
3.  Run the .exe file with /writeromfile parameter
4.  Copy the .hdr file to winery50.hdr
5.  Remove the battery and AC power from the dead computer
6.  Insert the flash drive into the dead computer's USB port
7.  Hold down the End key and then connect the AC power
8.  Dead computer reads USB flash and asks if update should be done
9.  Allow the update to finish and then reboot.
10.  Computer is now working normally.

Edit #2: only way on this model was to repair the board, flashing directly. BIOS flash recovery didn't worked in any way.

have you tried different usb port? because dell's laptop have usb port priority. you should try and repeat on every usb ports. good luck...
