Enable AHCI on my Asus P5P43TD/USB3

Hello everyone,

First i apologize for my English i'm from Belgium...

I got a big problem and i turn around.

I have a PC with motherboard Asus P5P43TD/USB3 . My personnal informaticien juste flashedit to pass from version 0401 to BIOS version 0405.

The things is i haven't got AHCI option , somebody says that is AHCI but i'm not sure. I know that there' s maybe a mod BIOS with AHCI but my informatician is effraid to put one in my motherboard...

So i got two problems :

- I have a SSD so i need AHCI option

- I just bought a Rack Thermaltake Max 5 Duo , so when i put the rack there's not the hot plug function , it's not recognized . Is it because there's no AHCI option?

That's ok , i used the mod bios and now it works thanks anyway..

Sorry, I can not turn on the trim with the bios mod ... I have a Samsung 512 gb ssd. Also I would like to ask: what ahci driver can I use for XP and Windows 7?

Hi friend!
It's standart Intel ICH-9/10 Sata AHCI Controller.The distributive of XP not including AHCI driver so you must integrate it. Win7 including Standart AHCI Controller 1.0 but it strongly recommended that you install proper Intel AHCI driver.
Find here mod for your motherboard.If you not found i will try to help you. I successed to modify BIOS for Asus motherboard with P35 chipset and then Hackintosh was installed successfully.
