Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Li2735 - Phoenix Bios
#11
Your BIOS mod is complete!

I was able to find settings relating to graphics memory and the graphics device. I have placed these settings under the Advanced Menu. These settings might work, but I cannot guarantee that they will because they have no function in some laptops.

Precautions/Disclaimers:
Quote:Please remember to take proper precautions when flashing your BIOS. Even if the BIOS image is safe, the flashing process can still fail. Make sure that [if applicable] your notebook is fully charged (100%), that the power adapter is properly connected, and that the chance of a power outage occurring is as minimal as possible. Do not interrupt the flashing process. If possible, it is good practice to have a working CRISIS recovery disk handy when flashing your BIOS. Use the flashing instructions for your particular computer brand. DO NOT DO ANYTHING UNNECESSARY!!!

I take absolutely NO responsibility for ANY damages that may occur to you, your computer, your personal belongings, your neighbor's cat, or any other personnel or equipment as a direct or indirect result or consequence of your, or any one else's, use or misuse of any of the files that are in this archive at the present or at any time in the past or the future. You assume full responsibility for any damages or inconveniences that may occur by choosing to flash, or otherwise use or misuse, this image or any of the other files within this archive.

Have fun! Smile

Please remember to post the results of the BIOS flash!

Steven,

That would be awesome, many thanks !
If you see or think about any tweak or hidden option that would be good to have when turning the laptop into a desktop mod with an cpu upgrade, you're also welcome :-D
the board boots and is usable without it's original fan connect (mine was dead), so the "fan bios check" can be ignored.

Many many many many thanks Steven !

ben

EDIT : I just see you posted the edited bios, sorry, I'm going to try it right now !! many many many thanks !!

ok, the bios works... but I can't tell you more hahahaha, I flashed it, check in the bios that there's the settings you told me, then i did a load default settings, and now I'm unable to reach the bios anymore.. the TV screen I'm using with the vga connector tells me "invalid format".. i made a "blind" flash of original bios, load default and save (F9 enter F10 enter), but it's still struck on a black screen.. funny that windows 10 still loading and get the display working even like that.. i think i will bring it to a shop with computer display for check if i can get access to the bios with a different display.. i could also maybe try to find another VGA cable (with less pins).. i will update here as soon as i can solve that !
many thanks anyway Steven !!

So, I finally managed to connect the MB to another screen (a computer display) and I was able to get into the bios again, I can confirm that the modified BIOS is working well, but new settings allowed are unfortunately useless and doesn't provide any changes on the vram settings (they seems to be ignored), so I just went back to the original BIOS, I may use the first moded bios if I go for a CPU upgrade, but I will look that only if I'm able to provide a new case to this MB. Anyway, many many many many thanks for your help Steven, thanks for your answer to my request, I will try to send you a beer donation as soon as possible ;-)
big thank you for your time and for this website !

Hi there !

i am a newbie here  - sorry for continuing this older discussion.

I repaired older Fujitsu Amilo PA 2548 notebook - i had to heat-reflow the Nvidia GPU as the screen was pixelated/blank, but the system boots to WIN normally. Now it is working, but there is another problem connected with the cpu fan speed. The fan switches ON not sooner than at approx 58°C - in this moment the GPU has already more tan 70°. No conventional apps works here (SpeedFan, etc..).  I also tried to mod the ACPI table via Notebook Hardware Control, but without success.

Is there a chance to unlock the BIOS or modify its settings to be albe to control the FAN inside it ?

Thank you for your help !
