-Bios revision: f.04
-Bios Type: insyde
-Bios Download Link: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp53001-53500/sp53126.exe

The Id's of my current Wifi card:
Current: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0084&SUBSYS_13158086&REV_00

The Id's of the new card:
New: PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002E&SUBSYS_E030105B&REV_01

Also I have a dump of the bios here: http://www.mediafire.com/?rz8d033ec6j8tnq

Ensure you have proper tools to recover in case of something goes wrong.

Download and flash at your own risk Wink

Hi, I just bought this laptop as well (HP DM4-2070US) and wanted to remove the whitelist so I can use an Intel Advanced-N 6230 WLAN card. Will this modded bios allow all blacklisted nics to work or will it only work with the Device IDs that the original requester posted? I'm kind of new to this so I appreciate your help.

The bios has white list check bypassed, so any card should work.

Thanks for the mod! I just flashed my bios and it worked. Upgraded my bios from F.03 to F.04 in the process. I had to delete the HPTools partition as well for it to work (you can delete it in disk management in Windows 7).

The insydeflash.exe that was in your package wouldn't run on my computer (running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit) so I had to download the official F.04 firmware off of HP's website and extract it. Then I replaced iscflash.dll and 01651.fd with the files from your package. Then it ran fine and flashed my bios without a hitch.

Now I am waiting for my Intel 6230 WLAN card to show up to see if the whitelist block worked. Considering it worked for the other guy, I'm not too worried, but I will post my results.

Thanks again camiloml you're awesome! Heart

Please tell me the PCI ID of the installed and working card.
If it is one of this ....

Ven_168C&Dev_002B
Ven_168C&Dev_002A
Ven_14E4&Dev_4315
Ven_14E4&Dev_432B

... then you can try this modded flash.

Flash with included Winplash use the one that match your OS (32 or 64 bit).

Hi Camilo,
thank you very much, I've made a firmware with my new wifi card included.
It works great but I need a firmware that is totally free, no whitelist.
I don't know what I have to change into hex bios to totally remove whitelist, so I ask to you if is possible to make this kind of bios?
here's what you need, but remember that I have put it into my new bios...
PCI\VEN_8086
DEV_4232
SUBSYS_13018086
REV_00\4&1B08A035&0&0030
Thank you very much

Camilo, I've applied your update to my new DM4-2070us and it went from F03 to F04. It finished, shut down and then upon a reboot, all i see is caps lock button flashing every few seconds and nothing else. The screen is dark. Please help, i'm f*c*ed.. Anyone!?!? Thanks!

Re-read slowly my previous post to you. You have not provided me the data i asked for. And upon re-read you will notice that i already posted a non whitelisted bios 4 u there.

@ozzynyc

Don't know why your lappy is dead and bssayeda's and dieburnbot's are fine. Anyway to revive you need to use the original stock flasher, unpack it and copy the 01651.fd file to the root of a usb stick and rename it to 01651.BIN, then boot the lappy with stick inserted and Win+B key pressed before power it on.
