Generic "X89" (Socket G34 Opteron Platform) Chinese Motherboard AMI BIOS unlock??
#11
The monitor is actually 32” and is ultra glorious!!!

So.

I screwed up I guess. Version 4.48 GUI seemed to work fine. Made a backup just fine.

So then, I went ahead and tried flashing my own backup file. No dice, didn’t work. “Alright” I thought, “this cant be too hard” and tried every command line version with the switches you gave me.

Nothing.

I tried the GUI version (only 4.48 would work) and it would proceed with flashing the BIOS then stop as well. Tried the command line versions as well; no dice.

——

Made the USB stick, rebooted with the goal to boot from USB ANDDDDD nothing. PC tries to boot but screen is black.

I do not have a PS/2 keyboard on hand to try the method you mentioned with the key combo, nor do I have a PC speaker though I suppose I could get one.

If you are in the US or Canada, could I send it to you to flash otherwise?! Haha

Bummer!!! With the GUI version, what do you mean it "stopped as well" Where/how did it stop, and what are you comparing it to that was also stopping?

No matter, bad flash, it happen. Now, you can fix it easily and properly, without having to try a million things to flash. Once you wait out delivery (if ordered cheap - 3-5 weeks), or if you can get closer to you it's usually 2-3x more $$ but you get much quicker. You need the items mentioned on post #10, let me know if you need some linked examples

Nothing to do now but wait and then fix it once tools arrive Sad
Don't worry though, it will live once again when you get the flash programmer in your hand. On the plus side, once you order that stuff, you can easily flash any board in the future without having to worry about if it blocks mod BIOS, or how to flash etc, and you wont have to worry about bricking boards anymore then either because you'll always be able to recover in a few minutes with your programming tools.

May I ask who else has the BIOS file for this motherboard to share? My BIOS is not working properly, and the link here is no longer valid
