Hello,

I have a Lenovo G580 (2189), and I also have a bios rom file which i modded myself based on this tutorial.

Now the problem is that when I want to flash this rom with ftpw.exe I get:

Error 28: Protected Range Registers are currently set by BIOS, preventing flash access. Please contact the target system BIOS vendor for an option to disable Protected Range Registers.

What other tools exist that I can try flash my rom with?

Update: I have tried now prr2.exe and fpt for dos the error now is different:

Error 104: The 2 SPI flash devices do not have compatible command sets.
