HELP! InsydeH20 unlock settings

Hey guys,

I'm new here.
I don't believe Insyde is part of AMI but couldn't figure out where to post this. Sorry in advance.

About a year ago my partner purchased a Sony Vaio VGN-CS23G with Windows Vista. From the get go the Vaio has been a pain in the [censored]. She recently got a virus which crashes the system on boot up. So i decided to reformat the HD and install XP, only problem is i get a error message while booting the cd. Figured out i needed to change the "RAID Auto/AHCI" to "RAID Auto/ATA. Now i've got a new problem... InsydeH20 bios doesn't have the option to do this. After searching around on the net i found out that they purposely lock these settings.

BIOS: InsydeH20 Rev. 3.5
Version: R1080Q2

If anyone could help me with figuring out how to unlock these settings, it would be much appreciated!

Insyde bios unlocking is still currently only in discussion stage. We will make it public when we know how to unlock them but for the moment they cant be unlocked

Hi 1234s282,

Thanks for all your work! I have an Aspire One ZG5, which is ultra portable. But thanks to Insyde's dumbed down BIOS I can't enable data execution protection. Linux Mint requires this security feature, therefore: bummer. I can't install a proper Linux on the machine (don't get me started about Linpus... :-)

I'm looking forward for possible solutions to the Insyde.. You guys are the best! :-D

Finally I get the answer after go around all the thread. Why not make a sticky of the fact that "Insyde bios unlocking is still currently only in discussion stage." ?

Btw, can we mod Insyde bios atm? Thanks for your hard work.

am also using presario cq56-102se can any1 help me on how 2 unlock its advance settin.
