HP MCP61PM-HM (Nettle3) 5.17 With Unlocked Overclocking Options
web7rc how do you change voltage? I tried every bios here and I still can't change any of that, neither in bios or in nvidia tuner tools.

Another first post...

Computer is an HP A6700f, Mobo is an MCP61PM-HM rev 2.2.
I was able to update the BIOS with image M801W_10.BIN using instruction on the first page. Everything runs fine with my old chip (AMD Phenom X4 9150e - 65W)

I tried to upgrade to an AMD Phenom II X4 945 (95w) and no go. Computer would not boot at all. PSU on, fans running but nothing else (black screen).
Switched back to the Phenom X4 9150e and everything is fine.

Any guesses as to why I can't boot with the Phenom II X4 945?

I ran into an odd issue I believe,,,

My motherboard is a MCP61PM-HM (Nettle3), rev 2.2, I put the bios "M801W_10.BIN" mentioned in the first page

Used the linux method without a hitch, rebooted and now it says Phoenix - Award Bios at the top and it is asking me for a password, I never had a password on my old system...

Ok so I've followed all the steps so far in Ubuntu, but when it comes to changing the directory to my flash drive, it can't find it.

Im trying cd /media/ubuntu/GS Drive

That is the path, I've already looked. Am I missing a parameter on the command line?

I appreciate your tip, but that was the first thing I tried, I even tried bios re-setters and crackers, but most tools I could find were 32 bit and I am running 64 bit, and now I am locked out of my own machine lol.

OK, here we go again!..

I have a Nettle3 v2.2 currently running a Phenom x4 9500 2.2Ghz with 8 GB memory.
I just bought a Phenom II X6 1055T HDT55TWFK6DGR 2.8Ghz 95W that I want to try out in this mobo.
Before I brick my darling wife's computer, has this been successfully done yet?
If so, what was the modded BIOS number? There have been so many upgrades and changes that I got a headache just trying to keep track!
Is there one particular method of flashing that seems to be more solid than any other?
I'd rather only have to do this one time since I don't want to be served a cold shoulder for the length of time it takes to order a new BIOS chip if it doesn't work!

Novice Noob here... I have a HP a6142n, which on the hp site says it is a nettle3 board, however, CPuz states it is a Nettle2 and if you actually look on the board it says that it is a rev 1.0B (Iris8). I will stick with the CPUz id.

What is the best new bios for this board? I would like to pop in a newer proc from the original dual core and possibly make use of some oc. Also, I noticed that there were several discussions regarding the method to accomplish this upgrade, from Ubuntu to awdflash... where do we stand on that for a positive result?

finally, will the files listed on page one of this thread, work for my nettle2 board?

that's all i can say at the moment...
I'm considering trying the adwflash method with the bios on first page, i will say what happen later on..
