The CPU multiplier changes on the go, depending on the load. NO manual multiplier setting Sad
Thanks for the quick reply.
What I'm trying to do is get the videocard to run at x16
Do you have the pciE slot running?

Well I flashed it and cleared the bios with the jumpers.
It does work but it still says pegatron...kinda weird.
Still stuck at 8x too.

After some digging I guess pegatron was building asus boards for OEM.
I guess I got the pegatron one...

I updated the videocard bios, tried disabling the LAN tried x1, pci x16 and other than going down to x1 it still only goes to x8
I cleaned the slot, cleaned the card pins, updated the chipset manually in the device manager to v9.4.0.1027 tried everything.
Guess its just stuck at x8 forever.

Confused uh oh I just notice the windows activation is complaining..  Huh

I just opened the 5.39 and 5.43 Version of those Original (and modified) BIOS files with MMTool and they contain the same Compaq OEM logo module
[Image: ysdAj8A9.jpeg]

If you have the correct logo extracted from an original BIOS (so it's the correct size and dimensions) you could use MMTool to replace the Compaq logo with the HP Logo.

I seen that too...the actual splash is in ID block FE "User Defined or Reserved" and is present in the HP and modded bios.
For some reason for me, it is MIA after the flash.
