HP ProDesk 600 G4 support for 9th gen CPUs

I just bought a used HP ProDesk 600 G4 (waiting for shipping) and it comes with an i5 8500.

While researching about CPU upgrade, it looks like some of the 9th gen CPU is not supported by it.

Post a screenshot with Mainboard tab of CPU-Z.
Describe in details what happens when you tried to boot with 9th gen CPU.

Were you able to resolve this? I'm now also getting a HP ProDesk 600 G5, which might be actually G4, but from what I can see the chipset is the same, also the 8th CPUs were still offered on the G5 as it seems at least in some markets, so it should work also the other way around one way or another. I'm thinking to buy a cheap 9th gen CPU to just test this out, as upgrade to the I9-9900 seems very tempting and now almost affordable. From other posts I see the 95W CPUs are not an issue.
