Help: Dump Insyde Bios with InsydeFlashx64
#1
Hello,

i have a problem to dump and backup my current bios!
i extract the Original Acer Bios file with 7zip and change
the platform.ini file.

[BackupROM]
Flag=1
FilePath=
FileName=

When i start the InsydeFlashx64.exe an error occured thats no bios file is included!
(only files from image are extracted by 7zip)

The original packed file is 7mb and the unpacked files only 4mb
and no *.rom, *.fd, *.bin is included in extracted file
where can i find the new bios file and how can i backup my current
insyde bios?

;Flag default : 0.
; 0 : No backup BIOS.
; 1 : Backup current BIOS and new BIOS binary.
;FilePath default : empty.
; empty : Use current directory.
; String : Directory for backup BIOS.
;FileName default : empty.
; empty : Use platform ID as file name.
; String : File name for backup BIOS.
;[censored].[censored] = Current BIOS image
;xxx_01.[censored] = Previous BIOS image

Try this ! Your Bios Backup will get name Test.bin and will be saved on C:\ HD.
Look here to use It or Flashit with their parameters :

To make a Bios Backup for Intel CPU You can use this tool too :

http://rghost.net/58219938

Run It as Admin and You will get a results.rar file then unpack It and into You'll find many .bin files (They are Insyde.bin and FPT Backups)
