Help!.. Laptop Model: G62-B24SA
#1
Hi please can you help me..

I have installed a modified version of a bios from bios-mods site and I am having problems.

I installed the modified bios and all was good. I went into bios setting to look at the new bios on leaving I exited and set the bios to default settings. On doing this the it no longer working.. the laptop is showing up with flashing caps lock twice flashing every few seconds.. bios fault I believe. I have tried to access bios recovery windows key plus b or v bt it doesn't work. When I take the ram out and back in it shows up on screen as cmos checksum error. That is the only display on screen I can get. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Laptop Model: G62-B24SA

OS: Windows 10 (64 bit)

Motherboard: 605903-001

Previos Bios: F.48 sp55430.exe

Installed Bios: sp55430_UlkMenus_ByCamiloml.exe

Try powering off the system and unplug battery. Try removing the CMOS battery inside the laptop for a 1 minute then put it back in. Adjust time and see what happens. This is called as BIOS/CMOS reset..

Forgot to mention, some laptops have CMOS soldered to motherboard. Be aware of it!

Remove battery and charger.
Remove BIOS (CMOS) battery
Wait few minutes and put back all.
When power you get some error like 500 or something.
Flash original F48 BIOS

Or you may try this
