I'm running 4G; pretty much the limit that this laptop will support...works MUCH faster than my old 1 Gig lappie!

I have a mobo, quad core, and 8G RAM that I plan on putting together for a desktop. Still need case/PS, HDD, and graphics card+monitor.

We are considering adding a *recommended* component page to help you with building a new pc

Sounds like the basis for a good system , although you might want to wait till the cheaper Intel I5's come out

4GB ,adding more in the future. OCZ Brand, platinum edition.running both, Win7 64 bit + Fista 32 bit. Highly Favoring Win 7., over Fista.. Cheers
