Hp ECS MCP61PM-HM (Nettle2)
#21
Tango , pick that germans brains! Big Grin Such a utility would be a valueable asset in making more "moded" versions , like replacing the looks of the bios etc

I will do my very best... I like the look of the HP-BIOS but you know how buggy and instable it was/is so it would be great to create our own unique look after this...

Sometimes you just have to try to be sure it is not working...

Maybe we should all get jobs

1 for ami

1 for award

1 for phoenix

then we can grab the source and build our own bioses Tongue

Add me to the same request for a ECS MCP61PM-AM version... as used in my Gateway GT5432.

Currently using the following Gateway v1.14 Award/Phoenix BIOS:

Gateway 9539176

CTRL+F1 reveals some additional settings, but changing Clock speed seems to do nothing when I get into Win(7) and run CPUz - still shows 200.1 MHz.

Would rather play with multiplier in my Black edition AMD 64 x2 5000+

Also would like RAM timings, to fully utilize my 4x 1GB DDR2-6400 CL2 memory.

Your board is most likely compatible with the ABIT BIOS we are using on the Nettle2 and ACER T180 etc.

Eureka!!!!

Youre the man man!! Long life to TheWiz!

I succefully flashed my MCP61PM-HM ver 1.0a!!!
With this bios and now i can fully overclock my Athlon 64 x2 3600+ from a stock 1.9 Ghz to 2.2Ghz!

I think thats the most that i will get since i can only OC the FSB and my A-Data DDR2 Dimms doesn't let me go any further than 900Mhz and i cant change the multiplier nor the clocking because at the minor modification that i do in the timmings, the pc won't boot.

However i`m really happy because after almost a year i was able to raise the potencial of my overall PC.
The next step i think will be, the get a BE CPU or maybe even a Phenom 955 and see if with the bios upgrade to my am2 mobo wich now is recoginized as an MCP64PM rev3 is able to fully use a quadcore CPU like that.

Well i just want to finish by saying THANK YOU!!!

Edit:

Ill upload some captures asap.

Best regards from the Riviera Maya in Mexico!

PD: As promissed ! here you have the screenshot http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1559457 posted from my Atlhon 64 x2 3600 @ 2500Mhz! and runing wild XD!!

What i did was just force the memory to run @ 533 that worked as if i was gettin the ram/fsb relation to /8 and then voila up and up !

Tnx !!
