I have a Gateway MX8734 laptop. I am desparately seeking a way to enable VT-x. My BIOS was listed as v72.13 until I stumbled across the Gateway Mega Bios v72.14 here. I downloaded the package, unzipped it, ran WinPhlash, chose the 7214.wph file and told it to run. BIOS tool ran, rebooted, and showed v72.14 when I entered BIOS. Problem is, it didn't change the BIOS options, at all. I was expecting a whole plethora of additional, editable options. I also ran R & W, but under the ACPI Table, I do not see a tab for SLIC. To be honest, I am not sure what I am looking for!

What did I do wrong? Did I miss a step? Any help is greatly appreciated.
