I was recently given this Gateway. It has a Pentium D 820, and the Intel D945GCZ appears to support 65nm Presler natively. I tried booting it with an E6600 and it sat at a black screen.

Looking a bit into it, this chipset seems to commonly have support for Conroe/Allendale; is there any possibility of getting a workable BIOS to give this motherboard such an ability? I don't know a whole lot about this, so any help would be appreciated.
If the E6600's 1066MHz FSB is the problem, I also have an E4600 coming in the mail.
