I wanna to ask you a question, what south bridge with your b490 ???

if it's HM70,maybe it is a chipset limits, there are many example as the same with yours.,it seems auto turn off at 30min.

Here is a forum link ,a member has an solve method that,he replace south bridge chipset HM70 to HM77,and it is work well after he replace.

However, you still can try to replace micro code to test it,maybe you'll get a good luck.

Hi friend,
It's an Intel prevention = ATT ( You can observe It into ME Firmware where is wrote this limit to 30 min.)
You can solve olny changing Chipset on MoBo HM77, in that case Firmware will not get any issue !

Greetings.

I own a Lenovo B490 that was originally equipped with a Celeron 1000M and 4GB of RAM (DDR3), along with a half-terabyte HDD.

I managed to get a hold of the list of processors that this model of laptop originally shipped with. The fastest one I found (and actually bought) is an Intel Core i5 3230M 2.60GHz.

After some fiddling, i got it installed. The BIOS recognizes it fine but now i get stuck the boot menu. Much like this one: [Image: large?v=1.0&px=999]

To my despair, no matter what settings in change in BIOS, it always goes back to this screen. Boot order has been altered, secure boot was fiddled with to no avail, legacy, AHCI, UEFI... Even disabled all other integrated parts (optical, card read, fingerprint reader, wireless networking board, etc). Nothing seemed to get it back working.

Researching online, i figured my BIOS must be locked onto that Celeron.

I really want to get that i5 going strong in there. What do I need to do to make it work?

I absolutely appreciate any help provided.
