Hi, sorry for the late reply.
I tried and tried to install the ram in the slot, also changing ram, but it doesn't work.
Bios only say i have 4gb, like windows, only Speccy says i have 8gb, probably the ram is uncompatible with my motherboard, so i installed the ram on another pc and i'll try to install the original ram found on Kingston's site.
However thank you very much for your help bro Big Grin

Notebook: Lenovo IdeaPad S510P, 4Gb RAM, 1Gb NVIDIA, Windows 10 x64
iPhone 6 16gb
iPad Air 16Gb Wi-Fi Only

Cool

Hi, I have Ideapad S510p 20298 with bios version Phoenix 89CN32WW. I have wifi card of Qualcomm and want to update to new wifi card of Intel but cannot change it due to whitlist. Error coming at start of laptop unauthorised Card.

The detail are here.

Original Wifi card: PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&SUBSYS_302617AA&REV_01 (Qualcomm Atheros AR956x Wireless Network Adapter)

New Wifi card: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B1&SUBSYS_40708086&REV_73 (Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 - 7260.HMW)

The link of Bios Update is here. Now the problem is that when I tried to extract bios with Bios Backup Toolkit 2 first it says cannot detect then it detected and gave option in sizes ranging from 64 kb to 16mb. I selected 3 mb and 2mb. Both links are here.

Link for 2mb

i have this lenovo laptop (ideapad s510p 20298, no touch, cpu i7-4500U)
I would like to know, is there an updated bios version that works or an "unlock" version?
I would disable the sound card and the network adapter but in the factory bios can not disable anything.
Thanks anyway!
