Hello Lenovo Legion Y740, Compal LA-G132P, HM370 / Coffee Lake-H, Insyde BIOS BVCN14WW.
I have a full 16 MB SPI dump and an external programmer, so I can recover the chip if needed.
The laptop is currently non-POST and stops in pre-memory initialization, so I cannot use RU.EFI or UEFI Shell.
I need the BIOS modified to enable Intel DCI over USB3 DbC for hardware firmware debugging, preferably as early as possible during PEI/pre-memory initialization.
The Setup IFR contains:
Platform Debug Consent = USB3 DbC
CPU Run Control / Run Control Lock
PCH Trace Hub
USB Overcurrent Override for DbC
xDCI
Simply changing these NVRAM variables has not caused USB DbC enumeration.
Could you check the actual Intel PCH/FSP debug policy, DCI enable/HDCIEN, locks/fuses/Boot Guard coverage and modify the dump so USB3 DbC is really enabled during early boot?
I can provide the original SPI dump, extracted SetupUtility PE32, IFR dump and schematic.
