M18x EDID Whitelist

My alienware m18xr1 was hit by some weird EDID corruption 2 years ago. and wont post purely because the dell bios doesnt see "its" monitors EDID

the monitor works i wanted to look into the bios to see where the check happens and see if i could just set it to assume the monitor is good always

that way i could just boot the pc. and if i need to rewrite the EDID in linux

I see a DXE with the tag MonitorKey

i assume maybe this has something to do with it. i am a absolute noob though. ive only modded AMI and Phoenix Bios NOT INSYDE

i also asked a friend if he could do it for me however he hasn't replied yet and im debating whether or not just to buy a EDID programmer. do you think it is possible to mod the display check out?
