M3N78 PRO Phenom II x4 955 BE update

Hi there,

I have Asus M3N78 Pro AM2+ rev 1.01G with latest bios 1402. I just bought Phenom II x4 955 BE HDZ955FBK4DGM but it's not supported by the latest BIOS. I really appreciated if someone help me on this. Im using Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate, 4GB DDR2 Ram and HD 5770. The latest Official Bios is in this link http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/sock...O/1402.zip. The closest motherboard that have the same chipset 8300 is http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/sock...O-1205.zip that support that particular CPU.

Seeing as this BIOS already has the "Universal" Full 28kb Microcode you must require an update to your AGESA module. Your bios only has v3.3.2.7 whereas the other bios that you linked to contains AGESA v3.7.0.0 (and no different microcode!)

Ive updated the AGESA from v3.3.2.7 to the latest v3.7.1.0.

Flash at your own risk , and please leave me some feedback

If you have USB programmer (or just being aware of risk of bricking board) you can try to flash bios from Asus M3N-H/HDMI, this is very similar board which even supports Phenom II X6.
