MSI PM8M3-V Award bios fix request
#1
Question
Here is mod-fix request that might be a bit harder to do... The bios settings of Command Rate (1T or 2T) is somewhat disabled and no matter what I set, I end up in 2T Command Rate:

-Manufacturer: MSI
-Motherboard Model: PM8M3-V PCB v1.0 (VIA P4M800 (maybe P4M800Plus, as Everest report?) chipset)
-Bios revision: 1.5
-Bios Type: 4Mb Award normal bios (ModBin 2.01.02 can open it easily)
-Bios Download Link: http://www.mediafire.com/?9npsvnsc8pmzhx1 (in the v1.5 unlocked it just enabled the stuff, that is by default disabled in the bios, I want this one to be fixed - no affect on the Command Rate problem)
http://www.msi-computer.co.jp/support/bios/?p=PM8M3-V (original)

All versions 1.4, 1.4 moded, 1.5 and moded v1.5 of the bios exhibit the same flaw - 1T Command Rate settings does NOT work.
Also the mobo completely refuse to post, when settings Bank Interleave 8x are used. Max is 4x - that works stable.

While this is probably not fixable, the Command Rate, I believe, it is. Anyone have the courage to try to fix it? Please? I wish I can use other machine, but no one is awailable right now, so...

I really would like to nail this issue - so, no one have there the necessary lever of expertise, or what is the issue there? Smile

Bump for fix for this not bad mobo - a 1T Command Rate for memory access is good thing to have... Smile

Bump for 1T power - even slight overclock of the mobo (faster FSB = rams) give huge performance boost:

64.7 points before (200x17), 70.6 points after (206x17) - I see a notable increase of performance! FSB overclocking rulez Big Grin
