I can't help without information of POST-card.

what sort of POST card do you have in mind?

generally POST cards dont do anything in a Mac, they run their own EFI Firmware that does not generally output any traditional postcodes 

so im not sure how much use a POST card would be sadly

but as per my first post I suspect its a max multiplier issue, so thats something to look into perhaps?
