Mod Intel NUC whitelisting to support eGPU

I am trying to get Intel NUC NUC7i7BNH work with AMD RX570 connected through M.2 slot.
It looks like the bios has M.2 whitelisted; SSD is detected but egpu is not. 
I upgraded the bios to latest 2019 version and it did not work. Does anyone have experience with Intel Visual BIOS modding?

Interesting...I was able to get this exact same graphics card (XFX Radeon RX570 8GB) to work with my Intel NUC Skull Canyon using an ADT-Link RG3-TU with zero issues.  I have the latest BIOS installed from Intel.  The NUC Skull Canyon has two M.2 NVME slots for high speed SSD drives (not mSATA M.2).  The internal graphics are disabled though by default so you have to use the video ports out of the eGPU.

Do you know if your NUC has mSATA M.2 ports or M.2 NVME?
