No support for 16GB

So my Dell Laptop Inspiron 7568 only has one DDR slot and it came with 8GB. They make a 16GB but it's not common. I tried it in my laptop and the computer does not boot. Would that be a BIOS option that Dell never made possible? Currently on the latest BIOS 1.26.0

ur laptop cpu can't handle good 16gb, 8gb is enough I think

I'm using 81% of my memory just sitting here. Intel's website says the i7-6500U supports up to 32 GB, DDR4-2133, LPDDR3-1866, DDR3L-1600

You need 4 DIMMs for 32GB DDR3.
