Notebook HP Pavilion dv6-6118sl and BIOS special update

HI

I have a notebook HP Pavilion dv6-6118sl (QC779EA) with Intel Core 5 2410M and AMD Radeon HD 6490M graphics card (1 GB GDDR5 dedicated). Its BIOS is a InsydeH20 Setup Utility Rev 3.5.

Unfortunately, the diagnostic hidden partition no longer exists.

So, now, how do I update the BIOS?

You can flash the bios without hp_tools partition anyways but if you cant see it you have to go to hp support download some files e.g.HP BIOS Update UEFI,HP System Diagnostics UEFI,HP Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) Support Environment,Intel Management Engine Interface once you install these , the setup will create a new partition called HP_TOOLS and you have to restart youR laptop. Just to make sure you have hp_tools partition avail- press f2 at boot up it should indicate the partition is working now. load windows and install Bios .GOOD LUCK
