POV ION 330 bios update
#1
Hello. I have a pov ion 330 motherboard. My goals was to reprogram it.

I have extracted the bios under dos with afudos. Slic modded it with amitool (like numerous other boards i have) and i've a problem the reprogram it.

If i launch bios programming i've an error :

Nvidia hdcp : rom hole 2 protected
nvidia nvmm rom hole 1 protected

error : problem erasing flash

If someone can help me i thank you a lot.

This board in fact is a relabeled PEGATRON (ASUS OEM) IPX7A...

You can find a flashable BIOS (with improved PWRMGT) HERE(BIOS903) and HERE (BIOS 903B)...

Be sure to reset your CMOS before trying to flash.
As I read in the manual there is also an internal connector called ROM RECOVERY, short circuited with the connected jumper in the right way (whatever the "right way" may be) should force the BIOS hardwaresided to be flashable, but I couldn't find how it is done.

I hope this helps you a little. Good luck!

Sometimes you just have to try to be sure it is not working...

Thanks for all of this, and your fast response. After an afternoon of google search i finally found the problem.

First I thought to make an SPI memory programer, not easy but i'm sick and i've time to spend.

But since 20 minutes i've found on a forum that certain mobo have a bios protection option under onboard device configuration.

So now i've a DELL pov motherboard.

i'm going to see your links to view if it's possible to flash this mobo (pci slot version) with the pegatron bios.

I thank you once again for your help

Sorry for my poor frenglish !!!!!

Pas de problem pour moi. J'ai des abiltés comprend des mot francais... Wink
It doesn't matter if there is a PCI-Slot or not, the mainboard/chipset is the same! But the 903B-BIOS is without the functions to set anything for the PCI...
Congratulation so far! I hope you can get the ASUS-BIOS working as it is confirmed in several german forums to ensure the S3-state working the right way...
good luck for the future!
