this is a false path! Corrupted contents of only one chip - 4Mb
you just throw money into the rubbish

I may need your guidance if I have to go by myself, which chip should I rewrite? and where I can find the bin file for bios w540? in lenovo website they do not give bin file!

I just found on amazon a SPI-programmer

Would this be okay?

I would this one too:

I am researching, and I understand all the process now.

I just need to know if the bin file I will extract from chip, is it the dump one?

Hi, I got a w540 that shuts off a few seconds after pressing the power button before the screen turns on. Could someone check my dump to see if my bios is corrupted?

Attached Files
.bin   spi1.bin (Size: 8 MB / Downloads: 2)
.bin   spi2.bin (Size: 8 MB / Downloads: 4)

Hi ytrewq987,

I've the same problem. But when I disassmble my W541 to read the eeprom my W541 won't start. Can you tell me, how you turned on your ThinkPad after disassambly? There must me some contact interrupters or something like that...

Thanks & regards!
