Hi!
Can I start by saying what an amazing Site / Forum this is!
Can't believe I've only just found it
To cut a long story short, I am trying to sort out an Acer Aspire One Notebook which kept grinding to a halt after an XP Install.
I have narrowed down the issue to the SSD, which is a Samsung P-SSD1800 (16GB).
Anyways, I have been on a journey and a half through Google and now believe that some sector / partition alignment along with a dash of AHCI may be just the tonic before my 3rd attempted reinstall of XP!
I have looked in the BIOS for IDE / SATA Settings but there are none
The BIOS in question is v.3310, the Acer Web Site link is
http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/..._AOA110%20&%20AOA150.zip?acerid=633850493862245097&Step1=Netbook&Step2=Aspire%20One&Step3=AOA110&OS=X01&LC=en&BC=Acer&SC=EMEA_27
Is there a modded BIOS for the Acer Aspire One AOA110 which would provide support for AHCI?
Thanks again for any help
Chris
