I have the same machine and followed the instructions. I used the utility to flash my bios from inside Windows it looked liked it finished the flash, then it just powered off by itself. I then hit the power button, pushed F2 to go into the bios. The revised bios was all there in its glory. 5 seconds later it shut off. I can do anything I want for a total of 15 seconds. If I go from a cold boot (Having the computer off for an hour), I might get up to a full minute before it shuts down.
Is there any setting (I'm guessing its thermal) that I could quickly set to get it back or any way to reset to the original bios?
Thanks in advance.

Did you ever manage to resolve this issue? I had same shutdown problem with a bios from another thread. I had to install original bios inside a freezer (using fn+esc flashing) to get it working again... I tried to set some thermal settings in between shutdowns but it didnt seem to have any effect.

After having installed the bios quoted, the system shuts down by itself on every reboot or start.
Re-flashed the original ACER bios and problem fixed. However I managed to take a quick look at the modded bios and the features are great. However, as I said, I cannot use it because of shut downs..
Any ideas please?
