Aspire S5 Bios does not support S4 (Hibernation). I hope with unlocked Bios I find an option to do that.

EDIT: No unlocked Bios needed anymore, because I returned the notebook to the store. So no reward anymore.

You tried to enable hibernation in Windows?
Look here: vista/7 or 8/8.1

I can't enable hibernation. When I use powercfg /energy I get the reason. Windows tells me that BIOS does not support S4 hibernation state. I think it is because the ridicolous "Instant Green On" technique from Acer. This stupid thing robs me 8 GB with its own hibernation partition, RAM is only 4 GB. Windows compresses hibernation file, so you would only need 3 GB for hibernation. The stupid instant Green On causes to put the Ultrabook ALWAYS to StandBy. Eventually it puts the state to the hibernation partition, but you can't choose that point of time. And in addition when you install your own Windows you don't have that hibernation partition, so nothing works.

I returned the notebook to the store, so there is no need for me for an unlocked Bios anymore.
