Acer Aspire V3-571G BIOS V1.13 With Advanced Menu(thanks bambar):

Does any one know how to increase the nvidia 630m gpu throttle temp? Mine jumps from idle temps of around 38-46 to 89-94 when playing games in less than 30 secs..I have tried cleaning fan and also applied arctic mx-4 paste and still the same...The CPU temps(i5 3210m), on the other hand changed from 75-86(before mx-4) to 45-68(after mx-4)..no complaints there...but the GPU??

I have an Aspire V3-571G with GT 640M and i am about to update bios from 2.15 to 2.17 (both original versions).
Im using win 7 Pro 64.

If i unlock my new 2.17 bios, will i be able to rollback to the original locked version in case i need to return the laptop to Acer for somekind of service?
This laptop is still under warranty and i would like not to lose that.

What i basically need to do here, is to disable the HThread of the i7 3630QM. Can i do that from the unlocked version of 2.17 ?

Im willing to donate some very few bucks if this works for me.

kk however, let me know if i will be able (in case of service emergency) to flash back acer's original old locked 2.17 bios.
I updated to 2.17 using the Q5WV1217.exe which i download from acer's official website (under the tab bios for my V3-571G laptop).
Also please let me know.. Will i be able from inside bios to disable HyperThreading of my 3630QM? (If not, any guide for that?)

Can you downgrade the bios from 2.15(I think) to 1.07? Also I only got Ubuntu on GPT style and I am wondering if 1.07 supports GPT. Also how can I install this without Windows. I really need this because my laptop is getting to hot that it shuts down when I am gaming. Thanks in advance.

Hello. I really need an unlocked bios with advanced options. I am running Ubuntu(I hate Windows because of all those virusses and win8) and when I am gaming on my GPU my laptop really overheats that it shutdown. I need an unlocked bios to set my GPU clockspeed on a fixed speed and I need to increase termal limits to 110 C because it already shutdown at 90 C.

Acer Aspire V3-571 MAII
I7 3612QM 2.1Ghz
8 GB ram
Nvidia Geforce 710M
Extra details:
I dont have windows anymore because it doesn't want to install on GPT without UEFI and I hate secure boot because of the lag of good grub2 support.

Hey guys. Not sure where to post this. Have an Acer - Aspire V3-571 Bios version Acer V2.02
Any way this BIOS can be bypassed to let me have access to the dedicated vram. (Currently 128mb of 6gb ram 2 gb shared aint enough )

I have a laptop whats the topic with the BIOS 2.22. Originally he was with the BIOS 1.X (without windows 8), but I found some who picked up the bios versions 2.xx. There is the possibility obniezenia version and / or unlock the advanced menu options?
